ELECTION NOTICES
Pursuant to MN Statutes 206.83, the Town Clerk of the Town of Fayal will conduct a public accuracy test of optical scan voting equipment to ascertain that the equipment will correctly count the votes cast for all candidates on the ballots for the General Election to be held on November 3rd, 2026. The test will be held at the Fayal Town Hall, 4375 Shady Lane, Eveleth, MN 55734, on Wednesday, October 14th, 2026 at 12:00 PM.
Following the test of optical scan voting equipment, there will be a demonstration of the OmniBallot Assistive Voting Equipment. The OmniBallot was designed especially for voters with sight impairments or voters who have difficulty marking a paper ballot. The Public is encouraged to attend.

VACANCY NOTICE
SKATING RINK ATTENDANTS
The Town of Fayal is seeking skating rink attendants to monitor the warming shack and skating rinks for the 2026-2027 season. The wage is $15.00 per hour. Primary responsibilities include:
• Responsible for opening and closing facilities according to the rink policy.
• Supervise and monitor warming house facility and skating rinks.
• Maintain and clean warming house areas and restrooms.
• Shovel snow to building entrance and clean skating rink surfaces of snow as required.
• Patch holes and large cracks in ice.
• Assist young skaters with skate lacing.
• Monitor skating rinks to ensure safe skating.
• Maintain and control equipment inventory.
• Provide general direction and supervision to youth and adults.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Tentative Work Schedule:
Weekdays 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Sunday 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
****If the temperature falls below zero, the rink will be closed****

Animal Licenses
Per Fayal Ordinance 2013-01, all dogs and cats over six months of age are required to have an animal license. Licenses are available for purchase at the Fayal Clerk’s Office for a fee of $5.00 and run concurrent with the animal’s current rabies vaccination certificate. Reminder that dogs and cats are not allowed to run at large and are required to remain on a leash when off the owner’s property. Animals found running at large are subject to a minimum of $50.00 for an impound fee.

Water Service Line Inventory Minnesota Department of Health
Fayal Township has completed and submitted our service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at 218-744-2878. To complete the service line inventory our system requested pictures and/or inspections of service lines entering into our residents’ homes. Fayal water service lines were also installed after the 1985 statewide lead ban. As of 9/16/2024, our inventory contains 0 lead, 0 galvanized requiring replacement, 0 unknown material, and 221 non-lead service lines. Thank you everyone for your participation and assistance in completing this project.
